15th May 2024
Here at LittlePod, we’re looking forward to welcoming Cygnet Theatre back to our garden for the tenth time this summer. Like to join us?
Based in Exeter, Cygnet Theatre has been training actors and entertaining audiences since 1980!
Our friends from Cygnet Theatre are preparing to return to Farringdon this summer. The group’s tenth time performing on the LittlePod lawn, this promises to be a special occasion indeed. Like to come along on 10th July? Everyone is welcome!

Last summer’s event was A Midsummer Night’s Dream – in more ways than one. Our audience numbered 50 – with half of those there that night hailing from Farringdon. To add to the fun, a visiting dog even tried to join in at one point. Who knows what might happen in our garden this time around?
What we do know is that Shakespeare is on the bill again this July, with The Comedy of Errors the latest performance to be given the LittlePod treatment. Open-air theatre has long been a highlight on our calendar. It will be no different in 2024 as the Cygnet Theatre players prepare to treat our audience to another memorable night.
What will be different is that this will be just the first in a series of cultural events in the village, with a packed programme planned to celebrate 20 years of the Farringdon Society of Arts. Here at LittlePod, we’re proud to be supporting the local arts in East Devon once again. Needless to say, there’s a great deal going on!

In addition to an art exhibition at the next-door Springs Gallery, which has been timed to coincide with Devon Open Studios, we’re looking forward to welcoming some old friends and familiar faces back to Farringdon. These include the prize-winning classical guitarist Tom McLauchlan (pictured), who will perform in the church, Philip Kingslan John and his Four of Swords theatre group, and Sarah Gillard, who painted the beautiful orchid flower at Kew that hangs on our office wall.
Like to get involved this autumn? You can find full details via the FSA here…

In the meantime, please do join us in July. The Comedy of Errors will start at 7pm, our garden will be open from 6.30pm and as always, we’re encouraging our audience members to pack a picnic. Tickets are £12 for adults and £10 for OAPs and students. Children are free. Please call 01395 232022 or email sales@littlepod.co.uk for further details or to reserve a place. Tickets are also available via WeGotTickets.
