More than 170,000 visitors from across the Far East are expected to attend the 27th FHC Shanghai Global Food Trade Show this November. It delights us to announce that LittlePod will be there! Frances Ma, our long-time friend, distributor and representative in Hong Kong, is all set to introduce our Campaign for Real Vanilla to China. Needless to say, here at our HQ in East Devon, we couldn’t be more excited.
Having first met in London in 2011, Frances and Janet renewed acquaintances in Tokyo back in March. Then, LittlePod’s Managing Director and founder, was preparing to exhibit at Foodex, Asia’s largest food trade show. Whilst in Japan, Janet didn’t miss the chance to seek further opportunities in the Far East.
First discussed during dinner, those plans will come to fruition this autumn when Frances introduces LittlePod products to the Chinese market for the first time.
Frances will join over 3,000 exhibitors at an event at which more than 50 countries and regions will be represented. With the Shanghai Global Food Trade Show focusing on international brands and high-end products, it is a tantalising prospect.
“This will be an exciting opportunity,” Frances said. “It is a chance for us to strengthen LittlePod’s Campaign for Real Vanilla in the Far East. We are hoping to recruit a new generation of Chinese LittlePodders. It will be a challenge, but I’m up for it. I am focused on LittlePod’s future in the Far East and moving into China is exciting. China is an emerging market and its bakeries are becoming more westernised. LittlePod’s natural vanilla paste resonates with customers in the Far East because it is such high quality. This isn’t just another product from off the shelf.”
Described as ‘an important platform for companies to enter the Chinese market’, the FHC Shanghai Global Food Trade Show will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre between November 12th and 14th.
