Vanilla Scones

LittlePod is based in East-Devon, so scones are a must-have recipe for the website (we advise cream-first, jam second, of course!) accompanied by a pot of tea. These vanilla infused scones are sugar-free, so you can enjoy topped with your favourite flavour jam.

Very Vanilla Shortbread

  • Time: 55 mins
  • Complexity: easy
  • Serves: 12

These may look like your average Joe shortbread squares, but if you look closely you can see the little specks of black gold (vanilla!) proving that they are infused with LittlePod vanilla paste. We take these to shows and demos and everyone is always after the recipe...so here it is!

Barbara's Gluten free chocolate muffins

  • Complexity: easy
  • Serves: 12

Despite being gluten-free, these chocolate muffins are deliciously chocolately and moist. The perfect afternoon pick me up! Recipe supplied by LittlePod accountant, Peter's lovely wife, Barbara.

Venison Pies with vanilla sauce

  • Time: 45 mins
  • Complexity: medium
  • Serves: 4

These hot individual pies are adapted from a Michel Roux recipe and have the addition of a vanilla and mustard sauce, which goes beautifully with the venison.

Fleur's Vanilla Polenta Porridge

  • Time: 10 mins
  • Complexity: very easy
  • Serves: 2

Polenta makes is a great alternative porridge if you’re getting a little tired of oats, but still want something warming. Flavoured with vanilla, this soft and creamy porridge is soothing and satisfying and makes for the ultimate comfort food breakfast. Using a little brown sugar to sweeten the mix adds a lovely caramel flavour, but of course you could substitute it for your favourite sweetener. Why not try a drizzle of maple syrup or honey?
